I'm consistently reaching my monthly traffic limit. My total traffic limit is many hundreds and GB, but get thousands of downloads daily and since each mix is almost 100 MB it can be reached quickly. Please be considerate of other people who would also like to download these mixes.

A few people have asked what software I use to mix mp3's together, so to avoid any future emails of that sort, I would like to clarify that the tracks I play are on vinyl records, and all of these mixes were recorded using Technics MK3 turntables and a Pioneer DJM-500 mixer. Most of the time I use 3 turntables, but I sometimes use 4, or only 2. I record directly into my computer using a program called SoundForge.

Update: The Blend Summer mix and anything I will record beyond that will probably be mixed on 2 turntables, with the same Pioneer DJM-500 I've had for nearly 10 years now, but with Serato Scratch Live. Both of my mixes on iTunes were made prior to my switch to Serato Scratch Live, but all future CD's will most likely be made with SSL.

Live in St. Louis 2007 :
:: at a full on warehouse rave. I was sleeping on the plane and thought "wouldn't it be cool to replace Detroit with St Louis", then realized that Nelly says St Louis all the time. As soon as the plane landed in St Louis I hopped on the internet, downloaded an acapella, cut out the St Louis, dropped it in Serato, and busted out what you hear completely off the cuff at the party.

:: B-boy hip hop / big beat / funkafied midtempo block party jams. This is one of my favorite mixes.

:: Can't remember what this mix is like ... I think it's the one with 150bpm surf rock style bigbeat toward the end. Different and funky, check it out!

Booty Rocka
:: Lots of house in this mix, and even techno, but it's all bangin and funky .. I'm trying out new things, and not letting tempo boundaries stop me from playing what I want to play. This mix has a bit of just about everything that I'm inclined to drop to get people movin their feet, mostly breaks, but with a dash of funky house, bangin techno, hip hop, trip hop, big beat, and even jungle.

Badness
:: Maybe too mainstream for the junglists out there wanting to keep it underground, no intellectual boundaries being pushed here, and that was the intention. Every tune is strictly a dancefloor killer. Mixed on 4 decks with my wife (who isn't really into DJ'ing, but is a beatmatching wizard)!

:: Another breakbeat mix, just a little newer. I was looking into licensing to try and mass distribute this one, but it looks like I ended up going about that process like an idiot, throwing in a few tunes that I don't have a chance of affording the licenses for. :: Recorded on 4 turntables on 11.29.03. This has a lot of the same tracks (and even a couple of the same mixes) as the older Breakbeat Prototype mixes, but I hope you'll agree with me that this is the best that I've played them. It's kind of like an old skool breakbeat hardcore greatest hits mix.

:: These haven't been available in a long time, mostly because these old skool mixes tend to be a huge traffic consumer for me. Plus, they seem to be very easy to find on file sharing programs, but nevertheless they are here again until I need the space for newer mixes because a mate of mine asked me to put them back up. All 3 of these mixes were made on 4 turntables, using classic breakbeat hardcore tracks from 1992-1993, recorded sometime between 2000-2001.

B-boy Audio Session
:: this is the kind of music I like to get down to. Funky, funky, funky breakbeat. This is the real b-boy music, there isn't any electro on here. This mix has all of the anthems; Apache, Just Begun, The Champ, Give It Up Or Turn It Loose, Dance To The Drummer's Beat, Rock Creek Park, Payback, and new anthems as well by the Chemical Brothers, Wiseguys, DJ Shadow, Freestylers, Dynamo Productions, Bassbin Twins, Showbiz & AG, etc, etc, etc, but this isn't like any b-boy mix you've heard before. This mix goes back and forth from breakbeat to hip hop to funk, but it's all mixed, and most of the mixes are LONG and smooth. It has flow and will keep you b-boyin for hours (or at least 80 minutes) ... and damnit, this mix is the primary culprit for the pillaging on my bandwidth, averaging 2400 monthly downloads. PS, some of the skratching is really loud and off-key! This is a REALLY old mix, I just keep sharing it because it's so popular :)

:: this mix was recorded on 4 turntables on 03.21.03. It's another mix of non-stop slamming, funky hard house, loaded with long mixes that are brought in quickly, and so smooth you probably won't even notice them until they are almost over. This mix really doesn't stop, there are almost always two records playing at the same time.

:: One of the best parties I've ever played at, and easily one of my 3 best DJ'ing memories. DJ Dan played right after me, and played on 4 turntables with me for a little bit. This party was actually TOO phat .. just for example, Donald Glaude opened .. there was world class talent in 3 out of 5 rooms all night long, I ended up missing out on the Skratch Pikklz (Q-Bert, Mixmaster Mike, and Shortkut) and a few other DJ's that I really wanted to check out.

:: Acid breaks and tribal house mania, these are all straight up anthems, DJ Dan style. Inspired by DJ Dan - Live @ Futur, if you want this, download it now ... because I think that there's too many tricks and too much skratching, so I want to re-record a toned down version that is more reminiscent of how DJ's played back in 95.
